Adopt Me Values Explained: FR, NFR, MFR and How to Trade Fair (2026)
What FR, NFR and MFR mean, how much more a Neon or Mega Neon pet is worth, and how to check any Adopt Me trade before you press accept.
Trading is the only way to get most of the best pets in Adopt Me. The Shadow Dragon, the Bat Dragon and the Giraffe all came from eggs and events that are long gone, so the only way to own one today is to trade for it. That also means every trade has a winner and a loser, and the loser is usually the player who did not know what the pets were worth.
This guide explains how Adopt Me values work, what all the short codes in trade chats mean and how to make sure you never accept a bad deal.
What "value" means in Adopt Me
A pet's value is not the price of its egg. It is what other players will really give you for it in a trade. Two things decide it:
- Rarity and availability. Limited pets from eggs or events that are gone can never be hatched again, so every copy that gets turned into a Neon makes them rarer still.
- Demand. Some pets are simply popular. A pet that many players want is easy to trade away, so it holds its value better.
Our Adopt Me value list puts a number on every popular pet, so you can add up both sides of a trade and compare them.
FR, F, R and NFR: the codes explained
Players almost never write out pet names in full. These are the codes you will see the most:
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| FR | Fly Ride: the pet has a Fly potion and a Ride potion |
| F / R | Only Fly, or only Ride |
| NFR | Neon Fly Ride |
| MFR | Mega Neon Fly Ride |
| NR / MR | Neon Ride / Mega Neon Ride |
| No potion | A normal pet without Fly or Ride |
FR is the standard. When a player says "my Owl is worth X", they almost always mean an FR Owl. A pet without potions is worth noticeably less, and for cheap pets the two potions can be worth more than the pet itself.
How much is a Neon or Mega Neon worth?
You make a Neon by putting four full-grown copies of the same pet into the Neon Cave. You make a Mega Neon from four Neons. That simple math sets the rule of thumb:
- A Neon is worth about 4× the normal pet.
- A Mega Neon is worth about 16× the normal pet.
Very popular pets can trade a little above that, because finding sixteen copies of a limited pet is hard. Every pet page on TradeTally shows a table with the FR, F, R and no-potion value for Normal, Neon and Mega Neon, for example the Shadow Dragon or the Dragonfly.
How to check a trade in one second
- Open the Adopt Me trading values calculator.
- Add up to four pets you plan to give on the left.
- Tap the buttons under each pet to set Normal, Neon or Mega and FR, F, R or no potion.
- Add the pets the other player offers on the right.
- Read the verdict: WIN, FAIR or LOSS, and by how many percent.
A trade within 10% either way counts as fair. If it is not, the calculator suggests one pet that would make it fair, so you know exactly what to ask for.
Win, fair or lose: reading trade chat
In trading servers people reply with a single letter:
- W – win: the person asking gets more value.
- F – fair: both sides are about even.
- L – loss: the person asking gives more than they get.
Ask for W/F/L only after you have checked the numbers yourself. Many replies come from players who want you to accept a trade that helps them.
Five tips for safe Adopt Me trades
- Check the pet type in the trade window. A Neon Fly Ride and a normal Ride pet look similar at a glance but are worth very different amounts.
- Read the final offer before you accept. Scammers swap a pet at the last second and hope you click without looking.
- Never do "trust trades". If someone asks you to give first and promises to give back, it is almost always a scam.
- Prefer pets with high demand. They are easier to trade again later, even if their value is a bit lower.
- Never trade for Robux or real money. It breaks the game rules and you have no way to get your pets back.
Values change after every event
When a new event adds pets or brings an old egg back, values move fast. Before a big trade, look at the date at the top of the value list and check the trend of the pets involved. Then put the trade into the calculator and let the numbers decide.
